Kevin Van Lagen is principal of Altario and Consort Schools in East Central Alberta. Building off his capstone (Cultural Consideration in Rural Schools) in his M. Ed. in leadership, Kevin continues to advocate for rural education and the role that schools play in creating thriving rural communities. Kevin speaks throughout the prairies on the role of education in the revitalization process. He has been instrumental in creating the Altario Agriculture Academy and the Neutral Hills Baseball Academy. Together, with his wife and five sons, Kevin resides on a small acreage near the Saskatchewan/Alberta border.
